I joined NYFC in September 2016. As Senior Director of Finance and Administration, I’m responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, including establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Before joining NYFC, I worked for over 15 years in the fiscal management space, including as VP of Budgets and Grants of the National Urban League. I received my MBA from Long Island University and my BA from Bernard Baruch College.
I joined NYFC in February 2020. As Director of Programs, I’m responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of NYFC Signature Programs and leads program planning and implementation for pilot initiatives. Before joining NYFC, I worked for over 14 years in the field of higher education and youth development. This included a position as Director of Edgies Teen Center and College Prep Program at Educational Alliance, and as the Youth Academic Advisor here at NYFC and at SUNY Buffalo State. I received my BSc in Social Work and my MSc in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from SUNY Buffalo State.
I joined NYFC in August 2021. As Senior Director of Communications, Development, and Grants, I oversee communications and marketing, fundraising, and grants administration. Before joining NYFC, I worked for more than 15 years in a variety of communications-focused positions, including at the National Urban League, at a small arts education nonprofit, and at a legal newswire. I received my BA from Yale University.
I joined NYFC in October 2018. As Manager of Youth Programs, I’m responsible for providing direct support to the recipients of NYFC’s signature programs. Before joining NYFC, I worked for over 13 years with New York City youth and young adults from at-risk communities, including as Life Coach Program Director at Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School. I received my BA in Psychology and my MS in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University.
I joined NYFC in May 2014. As Administrative Associate, I am responsible for all administrative and operational tasks required in our office, assisting all departments. Before joining NYFC, I worked for over 10 years in higher education. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, specializing in Fiber Arts. I am also a professional studio artist working in mixed-media textiles.
I joined NYFC in June 2021. As the Youth Coordinator, I am responsible for providing assistance to our Alumni and Leadership Team members. Prior to joining NYFC, I gained experience through several foster care youth development programs and held a position as a grief counselor, where I advocated for youth and parental figures. I received my BS in Criminal Justice with a double minor in both Psychology and Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
I joined NYFC in 2021 as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. In my role as VISTA, I support the Development Department by identifying new sources of funding, preparing grant proposals, tracking donor information, and creating social media and marketing materials. Before starting my year of service at NYFC, I worked in journalism, publishing, and education. I graduated from Carleton College with a Bachelors in English in 2019.
I joined NYFC in 2021. As the Data VISTA, I help with the collection, interpretation, and presentation of data to measure the efficacy of our programs. Before NYFC, I graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Economics.
I joined NYFC in November 2021 as Finance and Administrative Associate. In my role, I am responsible for assisting in financial and administrative functions in the Finance Department. Prior to joining NYFC, I worked with Wunderman Thompson as client Accounting/Finance Coordinator for 15 years. I received my BA in Accounting from Brooklyn College.
I joined New Yorkers for Children in December 2021. As the Youth Counselor, I am responsible for providing direct holistic mental health support in both individual and group settings to the past and present NYFC signature program recipients. Prior to working for NYFC, I worked at Graham Windham for 7 years where I assisted youth who were in foster care or who aged out of foster care achieve their educational/vocational goals. I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services at The University of Bridgeport (’13) and my Master of Social Work at The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College (’19).
