I joined NYFC in February 2020. As Director of Programs, I’m responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of NYFC Signature Programs and leads program planning and implementation for pilot initiatives. Before joining NYFC, I worked for over 14 years in the field of higher education and youth development. This included a position as Director of Edgies Teen Center and College Prep Program at Educational Alliance, and as the Youth Academic Advisor here at NYFC and at SUNY Buffalo State. I received my BSc in Social Work and my MSc in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from SUNY Buffalo State.
I joined NYFC in August 2021. As Senior Director of Communications, Development, and Grants, I oversee communications and marketing, fundraising, and grants administration. Before joining NYFC, I worked for more than 15 years in a variety of communications-focused positions, including at the National Urban League, at a small arts education nonprofit, and at a legal newswire. I received my BA from Yale University.
I joined NYFC in 2021. In my role as Development Associate, I identify new sources of funding, prepare grant proposals, track donor information, create marketing materials, and maintain the organization social media and website. Before coming to NYFC, I worked in journalism, publishing, and education. I graduated from Carleton College with a Bachelors in English in 2019.
I joined NYFC in November 2021 as Finance and Administrative Associate. In my role, I am responsible for assisting in financial and administrative functions in the Finance Department. Prior to joining NYFC, I worked with Wunderman Thompson as client Accounting/Finance Coordinator for 15 years. I received my BA in Accounting from Brooklyn College.
I am Andrea Gordon currently employed at New Yorkers for Children in the capacity of Back to School, Finance and Administrative Associate.
I joined NYFC over a year ago, giving support to the Finance and Administrative Team (Yeymi Hoffmans and Natille Nicholls), and overseeing the execution of the Back-to-School Program.
Before joining NYFC I engaged in different professional areas including Healthcare.
I am a graduate of the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica W.I.

I joined NYFC in 2022. In my role as Program Associate, I assist with several aspects of program implementation, including data tracking, drafting proposals and reports, and providing technical assistance to subgrantees. Before NYFC, I worked at a non-profit that provided guidance and mentoring for students from underprivileged schools. I graduated from Yale University in 2021 with a BA in Sociology.
I joined NYFC in July 2022 through the Americorps VISTA program. In my role, I help provide support to the development team in their marketing, communications, and grant writing efforts. Prior to serving at New Yorkers For Children I worked in sales and marketing, and interned for the International Center for Research on Women and the New York State Senate. I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2021 with a BA in Political Science and International Studies, minoring in Spanish and Liberal Arts.
I joined NYFC in August 2022 through AmeriCorps as a Program VISTA. In this role I help to collect, analyze and process data to be used in reports and grant writing. Prior to joining NYFC, I completed a national service term with AmeriCorps NCCC, working across the Southwest region of the United States. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2021 with a degree in Physics with Ocean Sciences.
I joined NYFC in 2022 through the Americorps Vista Program. In my role, I help provide support to the Finance Department. Prior to working for NYFC I was an elementary school science teacher through another Americorps program in Austin, TX. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2020 with a BA in Finance and Gender Studies.
